Before
After
my favorite shot...
Using some of the same basic pieces from Crate and Barrel, I created my own version of the room. I tried capture the overall feel using affordable and accessible (both very relative terms, I realize) furnishings, but I'm quite certain I didn't do it justice. It's still fun to try though.
All good things take time, right? So let's be patient and furnish our homes with items that we really love and that work in our space. And if we're really patient, we can also reap the benefit of affordability and durability by watching for solid hardwood pieces at consignment shops, in antique stores and on craigslist. Have you found any good deals lately?
Have a good week y'all!
I love HB's one day room re-dos........

good deals? hmmmm, I might reveal something soon!
Great mood board :) My most recent deal was an aluminum side table that I got for $15 at the Salvation Army. I've been eyeing similar tables elsewhere for years. Imagine my delight when I found one that was so inexpensive!
ReplyDeleteIt took me a long time to come to the conclusion that I'll never be happy buying a bunch of "okay" things when the perfect things for my rooms are out there and just haven't been found yet. I have lots of empty walls, but I am saving my money. Also, there's nothing quite like the satisfaction of finding the perfect something for a great price.
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm having a little bit of a hard time trying to decide if you like the after. I think the answer is no, but if it is yes, then I hope you won't mind me saying that I like the before WAY more. Your mood board is awesome. They should have hired you to do the one day makeover. I haven't seen this issue of HB yet...
ReplyDeleteBig thumbs up, by the way, about buying solid wood pieces!
