A Beautiful Southern Home!

Article from Southern Living, February 2010.

I love the wide Southern style front porch!
So inviting with the steps leading right to the door.

My favorite thing in this pic without question is the coffered ceiling.

See that skirted entry table?  I could so make that.  You could too.
Love the big box pleats.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

There's nothing not to love about this kitchen.
If I had to pick one thing though, I love how this kitchen doesn't feel kitcheny.
Maybe something to do with the footed bottom cabinets?
Definitely something to do with the cafe curtains.

See the herringbone pattern in the tile?  Yum.

Again, love those curtains... one thing I always notice about Erika's rooms are the curtains.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ooo... there's another skirted table!

And a couple more pictures Southern Living doesn't show:

Last year, I ran across the Urban Grace blog and have been following it ever since.

A couple weeks ago, I read this post from High-Heeled Foot in the Door.

And Friday night, I spotted the Feb edition of Southern Living while waiting in the check out line at Walmart. I could have read the whole magazine word for word while waiting (which probably would have taken care of the attitude problem I seem to get every time I go there), but now it's my very own. And it's a good one, by the way.

You can see a bunch more detailed pics of this same house in Erika's portfolio.

And if you're bored, you could also visit Erika's twin sister Darby.  She's got a very down to earth blog with awesome photography of her kids and everyday life.
