- to focus each day on some small part of God's grace to me (with the end goal in mind of extending that same grace to people around me)
- to worry less about what people think (about me, my house, my marriage, my spiritual life) and more about what God thinks
- to keep working on communicating with my husband (rather than clamming up and employing the silent treatment)
- to continue purging our house of stuff we don't need or absolutely love
- to steadily work on finishing one room of our house at a time, within the hubby's budget and to the best condition that resources allow
Wow- looks like it's going to be a busy year. Good thing most of these are a continuation of efforts already begun. I have a horrible track record of setting my goals much too high, expecting way too much from myself and giving up halfway through when I realize that success is impossible. So I thought I'd keep things reasonable this year- unfortunately, I immediately counted the number of rooms on the main level of our house and figured out that I have to average one room per month to finish them all. Old habits die hard.
do you spy the five deer in our backyard?
I love this post, especially two and three. As much as I love my husband, communicating is not something we do great at. Thanks for the encouragement to continue to try to do better!
