Celebrating Advent- Day 1

But you, Bethlehem, David’s country, the runt of the litter— from you will come the leader who will shepherd-rule Israel.  He’ll be no upstart, no pretender.  His family tree is ancient and distinguished. Micah 5:2

From the unassuming, the smallest and seemingly weakest of the bunch, comes a leader who gently guides and protects from within, as a member of the community.  He'll live among the people...and physically live like them.  He will eat what they eat and wear what they wear.  He will blend in, in order to minister.  He will stoop to lift others up.  He won't strive to obtain a position of authority, nor will he rise quickly to a place of power.

This man sounds interesting.
