Shop Craigslist

So I can't stake any claims to the originality of this post.  Joi over at Nuestra Vida Dulce has an ongoing Craigslist series featuring cities all across the country.  I thought it'd be fun to stick to little ole southwest VA.

Love the spool detail on the legs.  This would work great in a small entry!

PB Desk/ $425

Seriously, isn't this the awesomest bassinet ever?  Unfortunately Fortunately, I don't need one.

I love the idea that you could make a fitted skirt for a cleaner look.

Here are a few things I've found and purchased on Craigslist.  They all need slipcovered and in my defense I've only had the couch for a few months... can't say the same about the wing chairs though.

Have you ever purchased something from Craigslist?  Did you have to drive down a dark street or through scary tall trees to get to the location?  Hopefully you took your husband or body guard with you.  If you have any Craigslist 'before and after' (or even just a 'before' if you're like me), email me the pictures (kwise00@yahoo.com) and I'll do a special post!

Let's have a little Craigslist party!

    1. Not sure if this is spam or a real request for help, but nevertheless... my first thought is some kind of foam, cut a bit smaller so that you can cover it with fabric. There are probably a million options, it's just a matter of brainstorming something that you like. Good luck!

  3. I have the same bassinet. My mother bought it for me when expecting my first child , she is now 28 years old. All 3 of my children and all 4 of my grandchildren have used it along with a few relatives and friends. It's still in perfect condition and I hope to pass it down:-) I made a mattress out of foam and covered it in a plastic cover and a sheet, worked perfectly!

    1. The bassinet was listed on the Roanoke, VA Craigslist page in January of 2011. I never owned it, simply saw it and thought it was unique. I would suggest visiting your local Craigslist or shopping consignment stores to find something similar!
